Pelu2010 Posted February 2, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 2, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey , in the q2 you can put the exposure preview on the fn button . on the Sl2s not and you can’t put it on any of the fn buttons. i think that this would be a helpful little feature. or is there a way to do this? thanxs peter
Advertisement Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Hi Pelu2010, Take a look here Leica Sl2s fn or favorites: no „exposure Preview“. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MLochmansPhoto Posted February 4, 2022 Share #2 Posted February 4, 2022 Hi Peter, Maybe I am not fully understanding your question (if so....I am sorry for that) and suffering a "grey moment" 😉 But doesn't the live view image of the EVF and the LCD by default show the real time exposure and thus make a dedicated exposure preview button irrelevant ? I know there is an option in the menu to undo that for studio flash.

Sort of. But the original SL (Type 601) has a feature which allows you to preview the effect of the shutter speed with one squeeze of the Funk button (very handy for previewing low shutter speed shots). A second squeeze of the Funk button gives you depth-of-field preview. Both a better than what you get with a half-squeeze of the shutter release. For some reason, this function has been left out of the SL2/SL2-S firmware.

I have no experience with the SL (type 601) I always use the Fn button to toggle between screen info. Infor bars, grid, histogram etc...

Yes, I do this with the fn button too, but if I need to see the low shutter image I change it to S P A or M S P A (not sure if this is the correct order) i am just thinking why is this feature activated in the q2 and the Sl2s does not have it. When I jump from one to the other camera I struggle with these inconsistencies. and this is complaining on high level. when I am in a production I have so much going on that it’s nice if all the cameras work the same. 🤗 thanxs peter
