The Zeiss 35mm f/2 is a very well-regarded lens. Notably, all but one of the currently-produced Zeiss ZM lenses are manufactured by by Cosina, in Japan. Currently-made Voigtlander lenses are also made

It does have an issue on the mount that I did not notice adapting the lens on a Nikon Z7 but it is noticeable on Leica M since it struggles to fit the only way to have it repair is that they send
