Sammm Posted January 30, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 30, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if the Spot and 1 Point AF points can be moved around when Visofles is attached to the TL2? I can move the focus points around without the Visoflex attached to the camera on the back screen. However, not when the Visolfex is attached to the camera as wherever the focusing point was located would just stay there. Any way we can move the focusing points around when Visofles is attached? Please help!
Advertisement Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Hi Sammm, Take a look here Moving Spot/1 Point AF points on TL2 with Visoflex attached?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Dopaco Posted January 31, 2022 Share #2 Posted January 31, 2022 If you mean what is explained on page 154 of the instruction manual and what I have tried right now with the visoflex attached to the camera, I will tell you what can be done but first you have to select "Touch AF" in the submenu and it will act with measurement at 1 point. You have to use the touch screen and when the small focus box appears you drag it with your finger to the area you want to focus on and then if you want you can look through the viewfinder and you will see how the box is in the place where you left it with your finger, you shoot and there is the photo. I don't normally use this feature, I find it is rarely needed and is best used with tripods. For example, if we need to photograph an object and you want the focus to go to a certain place and using the touch screen you drag the focus frame to that place. To make the photo more secure, you can look with the VISOFLEX that is articulated and check that the focus frame is at the chosen point. I don't know if you can understand me my English is very bad. Sammm Posted February 1, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted February 1, 2022 Hi Dopaco, Thank you for the detailed reply! First of all, your English is very good. I understand the method you mentioned. However, my actual question was if I could still move the focusing point around while looking through Visoflex. Maybe I should have explained myself better in the first place. If I can’t move the focusing point around while looking through Visoflex, Visoflex won’t be much helpful to me! Sam
Dopaco Posted February 1, 2022 Share #4 Posted February 1, 2022 Visoflex is of great help when the sun makes it difficult to see the screen. To take stolen photos of people you don't want them to know you're photographing them. Articulating visoflex you are looking down and it seems that you are photographing the ground, however you are doing it to the people that you have at a certain distance. Sammm Posted February 2, 2022 Author Share #5 Posted February 2, 2022 Well said, Dopaco! Thank you! I just don’t know why Leica’s firmware on the TL2 can be so inflexible not allowing one to move the focusing points around when Visoflex is in use. Also, I cant count on Leica to update the firmware allowing one to do so.
Dopaco Posted February 2, 2022 Share #6 Posted February 2, 2022 What is the firmware that you have in your TL2?...
Sammm Posted February 3, 2022 Author Share #7 Posted February 3, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) 1.5 and I believe that’s the latest update.
Dopaco Posted February 3, 2022 Share #8 Posted February 3, 2022 9 hours ago, Sammm said: 1.5 y creo que esa es la última actualización. Affirmative there is no more firmware. If at any time the screen of the TL2 freezes, remove the battery and put it back, with that I have been able to continue working with the camera. Now it happens less often and it's possible that it's because I understand it better and I don't give contradictory orders to the camera.
Sammm Posted February 5, 2022 Author Share #9 Posted February 5, 2022 I am lucky that my TL2 doesn’t freeze at all. Hope yours will not freeze as much as before. Thanks for all your help!
