Advertisement Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Hi dorman, Take a look here Another Barmouth Panorama. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted August 14, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 14, 2006 Geoff, I think this would have been a cracker at low tide - I always find low tide more interesting than high. Nice to see you had clouds over the hills too :-)
jtharvie Posted August 14, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 14, 2006 Nice One! I particularly like how the one cloud is being torn by the hill/mountain. Lovely shot, do you have one with boats moored to the bouys? Cheers, JTH
hrosell Posted August 14, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 14, 2006 Hi Geoff, nice picture although I would have cropped half of the water. But I have a digression here: is your Minilux actually working nowadays? I had one with the fixed lens and another one with the zoom (actually I gave it as a present to a friend). The first one to die in the ERR realm was the zoom one which had shot about 10 rolls during three years. Mine –the fixed lens one– endured five years with rather extensive use before showing ERR. I tried everything to fix it (except sending it back to Leica) without success. Regards, Horacio
dorman Posted August 15, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted August 15, 2006 Horacio: I agree with you, a little less water improves it I think. My Minilux is about 7 years old and still works well. It is the fixed lens version, 40mm f2.4. I'm always impressed by the results John: I don't have that view with boats moored. It was difficult enough getting good clouds, patches of sun and a train in sunlight. :<)) Steve: I don't have that shot at low tide (see above!) although I do have others around there which I will scan and post here in due course.
