IR Filter / no coding and cyan correction in new Lightzone 3.1

Lightzone 3.1 includes an amazing tool, named color correction, by which you can now, instead of drawing a region, select color. You can define the color range of the selection and the luminosity. It seems then that it would be very easy to correct for any cyan drift resuting from using IR filter with no coding. Here is an example of how this could work, but I am sure there must be a better way of doing this and refer to the experts on this forum.

Let's start by a gray picture with cyan in the corner (this is not an actual picture taken with the M8 but it serves to explain the workflow).

You then select the color balance tool and use the eye dropper to select the darkest part of the cyan corner, construct a region that covers the corner (by inverting mask) and use an exclusion as blending mode.

I have not try this on a real picture but I guess this method or an alternative should work well.

The added advantage is that you can add a preset to the left of the screen for each lens you are correcting. In addition the tool opacity can be use to reduce or increase the effect , in effect controlling for the aperture of the lens.

Any views, or way to improve this method? Are they many users of lightzone here?

Samir, thank you. another tool in my M8 arsenal.

Thank you. I just realized that the color selection changes with each picture. I need to find a way to get the same color mask constant and apply it uniformly on any pictures.

Does anyone know how to do this in Lightzone?
