Leica T / Don Goldberg modded Minox Minotar 35/2.8 & Hood ... Don adds the Fotasy C-LL 'L Mount' adapter

Minotar is a 4 element Tessar design. Don Goldberg (DAG Camera Parts) lists recycled Minotar 35/2.8 lenses in various fittings on his website.  I added the Minox hood which was slightly too wide a diameter to fit the lens ... the hood was designed for the Mk II Minotar which is approx 1mm wider diameter than the Mk I lens. I 'shimmed up' the hood attachment ring with a few spots of UV cured adhesive to enable a friction fit to the lens front. Manual focus is easier with the hood attached. Minotar lens cost $68 inc UK shipping

Minox Minotar 35/2.8 covers full frame so will also be used on my SL 601.

Leica bought Minox in 1996.

Leica T / Minotar pics to follow.

AUTO ISO (ISO 640) 1/100sec f5.6 ... the 2 diamonds in the sky are likely ghost diaphragm images ... easily corrected ... PP included haze removal to emphasise the sky

Same scene different angle ISO 800 ... also shows ghost diaphragm image in sky ... better focus so sharper than previous

Leica T / Minox Minotar 35/2.8 ISO 800 1/100, f5.6 handheld .

I'm happy with the tiny $68 Minotar 'L mount' Tessar lens ... it's a dull wet day so results should improve in better light. ... provided the diaphragm ghost image does not show up more with sunlight.
