Hi, just purchased the 1150 casing, and tried to fit the M10p with a Voigtlander 35mm f1.2 Mk3 into the casing. I noticed that some force is needed to compress the foam and more when trying to lock the case.

Wondering if such compression would spoil the top dials and shutter button of the M10p in the long run?

I thought I might need to trim off some foam from the top and bottom cushion. Then again I seen some guys using the 1150 for their Ms. I can't be sure how's its being placed.

The image attached shows how I'm intending to place the camera in the case.

Your case dimensions are below and the foam decreases available space, as you noted. I ended up with the iM2100 Storm Case.

I use a thin pouch for the camera normally, and this fits in the 1150 with no foam.

having the foam seems easier to use. I tried without the foam and yes it fits inside. minus the protection. Might have to do your method. does it move around inside the case?

Yes. the foam decreases the depth. Hence wondering those who use, do they just compress and close, but will it do harm to the body or maybe cutting some top and bottom foam to ease the pressure on the body when closed but yet some foam providing protection still.

Let me see the im2100

I have innumerable 1400s which take varioys camera bodies and lenses very happily and so are versatile, but still quite small, lght and manageable. I do not like to have anything pushing down continuously on the shutter release of any camera myself.

My second to the TrekPak system. This allows much more compact arrangement and gives better room without too much foam. The system is nearly infinitely customizable. And besides it was invented by my daughter.
