Definitely 1.  This makes the CL a great street camera and less obtrusive generally, especially at family gatherings etc.  The fact that I can get the CL and the 18mm in a cargo pants pocket is another bonus very popular with me.  I don't have to carry it and am, therefore, more likely to "carry it" - LOL.  "The best camera is the one you have with you!"

I remember Leica is about size and weight, that's why I bought a CL with 18/2.8. But I'm quite sure I would be also happy with the 23/2 which isn't that much larger. It's just that I lately use the 28mm (FF) more than 35. After all, you can crop a 28mm image to 35, but not vice versa.

my comment maybe unpopular on this particular thread because I sold my 18mm that came with the CL.. I am not a big fan of that focal length.. the only thing I liked was how tiny it was.. I have the 23 f2 which is also quite compact and I prefer that a lot.. I also have the 11-23. so, the only thing that was making me hold on to it until I sold it was because of the reason (1) as well
