Hallo Troy,

these were shot with my Kyocera S3L - some time ago. That was my 1st digital camera, I still kept it, although I don´t take any pictures with it anymore.

I am very glad that you like them.

thank you

Heiner

Don't suppose you fancy going back and taking them with your Leica, do you? This is the Leica-Camera-User forum... ;)

Hi Andy,

you are right - that´s what I am planning to do :)

And because of the forum, all the information I received here, I ordered a D-LUX3 with my dealer last saturday. I know its not officially announced yet but he took the order anyway...

I can´t wait to get it....

Thank you

Heiner

Troy,

Just in case the D-Lux 3 takes too long to reach your hands, you could try an M6 with a 35/1.4 (shot Nov/1998).

Both images © Horacio Rosell.

Thank you Horacio - they are wow! I should try B&W as well. Both are special in their expression, as well because you got the canale grande so empty and the other one as well - very melancholic to me.

I think I will have to learn a lot more...

Sorry, I meant Rower (instead of "Troy")... Try B&W! It is very rewarding. Actually, I spent around 20 mins to get the Canal "clean", so in general it's a matter of patience.

And yes, it was a melanchoic period in my life, but I always felt that such is the general mood of Venice.

Thanks vmuch for your kind comments!
