Jodad Posted October 21, 2021 Share #1  Posted October 21, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I tried to colour the f11 and 8 aperture lines on my 35/2 with red and a yellow OHP perm pen but as you’ll see, the red on 11 has faded quite a bit and the yellow on 8 is nonexistent and actually when trying to recolour the 8, one of the lines’ paint got removed somehow…  is there a better way to do this? Some kind of paint or something that I can use?  anyone else done this?  let’s please try to keep comments and answers relating to solving this issue rather than questioning why please. Welcome, dear visitor! wda Posted October 21, 2021 Share #2  Posted October 21, 2021 I have not tried to recolour lines on lenses. But I do have digital buttons which have lost some of their names, where paint has come off through finger contact, possibly slight perspiration. There have been threads addressing this in the past. Perhaps you might get some current thoughts on possible solutions, other than send equipment away to Leica, which I wish to avoid.
AndreasG Posted October 21, 2021 Share #3  Posted October 21, 2021 (edited) Take paint from Tamiya oder Revell, which is for model cars etc.. Apply little with a small brush, let it dry (not completely) and remove excess paint with a cotton swab, wetted with thinner. Don't do on lenses in Black Paint, only black or silver chrome. Put some masking tape around the meter scale before painting.. Edited October 21, 2021 by AndreasG
