Bob I. Posted October 13, 2021 Share #1  Posted October 13, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a 'new to me' Leica SL2-S and loving it. Currently, I am mostly shooting M-mount glass. Among my learnings is that the camera can have up to a 30 minute exposure time (mechanical shutter only). So, I wanted to play with long exposure. I mounted a Lee Sevin5 15-stop ND onto a Zeiss Distagon 35/1.4 ZM. Following a 120 second exposure the resulting image has a weird reflection only in the lower right of the image. I tried with another lens, the Voigtlander Nokton 35/1.2 v.2. Using the same exposure setting the resulting image had the same reflection but much less pronounced. Lastly, I took the Zeiss Distagon and mounted to my Sony A1. On the Sony, there are no such reflections. This is making me think it's the SL2-S but why and how can I fix this? Photoworks Posted October 13, 2021 Share #2  Posted October 13, 2021 It could be light leak on the adapter ,. try covering the lens adapter connection and see if it is still happening
Bob I. Posted October 13, 2021 Author Share #3  Posted October 13, 2021 Thanks. I can't seem to cover it with my hand so I'll try something more aggressive. In the meantime, I'll try some other adapters from the $15 Fotasy adapter I'm currently using.
