Hello everyone, would love to hear some feedback for those with the above combination. Particularly interested to know about the autofocusing with this lens after the 3.0 firmware update for the SL2. Not expecting Sony or Canon performance for tracking autofocus on moving subjects, but is it at least functional? Any use case feedback appreciated. Thanks, John

The SL2 Autofocus Tracking performance in earlier firmware tends to produce a softer image in between one or two sharply focused image. After the Firmware v3.0, my test on continuous focus tracking images of six to eight images, the focus tracking does consistently produce sharp images once the autofocus locks on to subject successfully ie Focus Tracking box turns green and continues on all subsequent frames. The ease of autofocus tracking locking is dependent on the lens attached and the subject size in EVF/LCD. From my user experience, the SL75 is almost perfect every time, the SL90-280 struggles a little if subject is small and against strong backlight. The Sigma 150-600 struggles to lock focus more than the SL90-280. I have not tested my SL16-35 & SL24-90 so no comments on them. I would expect almost all SL lenses have improved AF Tracking success rate with the SL50Lux as the lagger since it is designed as a less compact prime lens compared to the 28,35,50,75 & 90 cron lenses.
