And for this reason you kept the Q2M? Those were strong reasons but another factor that persuaded me to sell my Q-P was that I began to realize how limiting the 28mm focal length is after I started spending more time with a 50mm lens on the M10-P. I wasn't happy with being locked into one perspective and with the lower resolution Q-P, cropping to 35mm or tighter causes too much loss in resolution. The Q2M also has amazing low light performance and tonality unmatched by converting color into monochrom; I find I can shoot in near dark with the Q2M and the rich grays - this is not paralleled by the Q2, IMHO. I began to realize that the main advantage of the Q-P over my iPhone, at least in my hands and for my use case (95% sharing photos online or by email), was better bokeh when shooting wide open. Otherwise, my iPhone had the same focal length and equivalent low light performance and I was already carrying it with me at all times. In my mind, I rationalized my choice to keep an M10-P and Q2M as follows: - shooting in color, want auto focus: use iPhone - shooting in color, want engagement and to enjoy the process of picture-making: use M10-P with multiple choices of lenses - shooting in black+white: use Q2M

As long for sending uncropped pictures in low res by email or uploading to social media cell phone cameras are fine, but when editing (particularly cropping) is involved then my Q2 shoots much better photos as my iPhone 12 Pro Max. However, I shoot much more with my cell phone than with the Q2 but only because I have the cell phone always with me. When I use the Q2 and see the photos on the screen then I am glad to have used the Q2 and not the cell phone. I should get used to carry the Q2 much more with me .... gettons Posted October 5, 2021 Author Share #24 Â Posted October 5, 2021 Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond. I popped into a Leica store and tried the Q2, I have to say it's very nice to handle and super light. However I am inclined to keep my m10-r + 28MM summilux and get rid of the rest.
