Stevord Posted September 20, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 20, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Curious how many regularly use Graduated filters to retain the sky in your photos. My images often are just white, but to be fair, we don't get a lot of clouds here in LA. Or, if you have other filters that you love, please share. I have a polarizer i throw on when i'm out sailing with friends. Thanks.
Advertisement Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 Hi Stevord, Take a look here Graduated filters/ND filters. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
darylgo Posted September 20, 2021 Share #2 Posted September 20, 2021 I seldom use my grads. Post processing works well as an alternative. It's easy to shoot an exposure bracket and do hdr. A friend would carry his grad filter and hand hold it, scratches and all, it produced good results.
GeorgiC Posted September 21, 2021 Share #3 Posted September 21, 2021 I tried to use high quality Circular ND filters and I am not liking the results. The wide lens produces uneaven skies, with too much difference between dark and light blue skies. Maybe will try another filter, but haven't noticed this effect to that extent on my Fujifilm X100T.. probably due to longer 35mm lens
daan Posted September 23, 2021 Share #4 Posted September 23, 2021 I’m using the M75 filters from NiSi on my Q2, works perfect! High quality. Also a very small package which I like
