Stevord Posted September 10, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Phottix does not work with Leicas. Does anyone have a recommended brand for the Q2? I like to shoot with the flash off camera.
Advertisement Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Hi Stevord, Take a look here Recommended Remote transmitter/receiver for flash?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Leica28 Posted September 11, 2021 Share #2 Posted September 11, 2021 Yes. The Leica SF 60 flash and SF C1 Remote trigger. You place the trigger on the hotshoe, and place the flash unit anywhere you want it.
Anakronox Posted September 11, 2021 Share #3 Posted September 11, 2021 If you want TTL and HSS, you need to use the Leica commander and flashes. The Leica commander can work with certain Nissin speed lights though. Search the forum for those. I use Godox lights and the Nikon commander unit in full manual mode and they trigger and work without issue.
Stevord Posted September 11, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted September 11, 2021 I'm a Nikon guy for work. Can you let me know which model Godox you are using? Evidently, The Phottix transmitter, has specific pins for Nikon that won't work (even in manual) on the Leica. I'd like to try Godox as i have other Godox gear that has worked well. Thx. luetz Posted September 11, 2021 Share #5 Posted September 11, 2021 For off-camera in Manual modes, the Cactus V6II Transceivers will work with most flash units/speedlites on a Q2. One on the hotshoe of the Q2 and one on the flash unit. Changes to the manual settings can be done from the camera mounted V6II to the remote flash unit.

denisavu Posted September 28, 2021 Share #7 Posted September 28, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) confirmed Godox N gear works on Q2, albeit in manual. Setting TTL on a lowly TT3500 even fires it!
