May I make a suggestion. If possible during your next visit, consider a viewpoint on the far side. It would not only declutter the creatures, but I guess you would be able to include more of the dunes and seascape. Better still, if you could adjust the camera height so that the two creatures would be separated, to show both heads more clearly. I know; it is all too easy to offer these thoughts after the event.
allamande Posted August 24, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted August 24, 2021 Thank you everyone who left feedback. David, thank you for taking the time to go into this in some depth and offering thoughtful suggestions. I appreciate all the points you make and indeed many different approaches would improve on the story. I will keep these in mind for whenever I am in that neighborhood again. I do have to say that my calling these "surfing dinos" was perhaps a bit facetious. This is in the high Colorado Plateau in Arizona, at a truck stop, and not near any ocean. Being from southern California, when I saw them they looked to me like they were surfing on the dirt atop cement boards, and I found that hilariously funny. Combined with all the oddball signs around, the scene looked quintessentially Southwestern Americana. Ece
