What of modern Zeiss Ikon (ZM) finders (15, 21) on a Leica?

Question: aside from the contentious horizontal tilt issue, how well do Zeiss finders stay on Leica M? Is there any margin around the framelines on the 15mm and 21mm finders? Margin is of interest because I tend to use the same finders with a 6x12 camera whose aspect ratio is obviously a bit wider than 35mm (for example, my Frankenfinder set to 16mm to approximate a 35mm lens on 6x12 has some space where you can mentally extend the frame - same when I set the FF to 21mm to approximate a 55mm lens on 6x12).
