Auto Focus on Panasonic S1R vs Leica SL2

I own both of these cameras with all available L mount Leica lens . I also have a few of the Panasonic pro Lens.  I have updated firmware on the Panasonic as of latest issue. The Panasonic firmware has been used to update AF and various video options which I don't use.  Yesterday as a experiment I mounted my Leica 35mm F2.0 on both cameras and took the same pictures each time just switching the lens. Settings were the same.  The results are that Panasonic has been able to decrease focus time and any wandering  significantly when compared to the Leica.  So I am posting this with the hopes that with the upcoming Leica firmware update we will see the same results.  A note the differences between the two are truly significant.

Are you saying that the Panasonic focuses faster than the SL?

By about 25% I would guess.  I enjoy the SL2 much more than the Panasonic but was amazed at the speed of focusing difference with same lens and settings.

Is this in afs or afi or afc or …?

I was shooting afs F2.0 400 ISO.  When I loaded the new Panasonic software in June it said to increase the AF, and again on the latest update. I think this was similar to the Leica update for the SL2s.
