Never used a Tiffen filter in my life.. I always go B+W, currently have Red, Orange and Yellow in 49mm.

A blue filter in B&W photography is not used to tint a photo but to reduce contrast and darken some colors (red, orange, yellow and a bit also green while it lightens blue, violet..), if used properly it can also increase haze and mist .. so it is a rather “moody filter”. I never used one with the Q2M.. Wait, now that I wrote this I think I need one too.
