I think so. It is not as sharp as the Summicron 50 type 4 or 5 but it has its own unique classic character. I suppose pixel peepers won't get happy with this lens. In combination with my M10 the obvious retro rendering is quite nice.

I found this storage room on the lower decks of the sailing ship. Lens and leader probably from the same century. The latter one is history.

Last year I really enjoyed trying out my C-Sonnar (usually attached to my M7) on my M10M.

Hi, I own and use the Sonnar, and am very happy with it. - It is one of my 5 M mount 50s, and one of my 18, 21, 25, 35, 50, 50mm ZEISS lenses.

I show my Sonnar pics in the Nifty Fifty thread, which might allow an appreciation of its performance compared to other lenses.

Hi, sorry, I forgot that I own and use 2 ZEISS 35mm lenses: the Biogon, and the Distagon ... 😞
