Per P. Posted June 29, 2021 Share #2 Posted June 29, 2021 Good to see another Leicanista playing with these great little lenses. This was made with SL and an OM Zuiko 100mm F2.0 MC. THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENT I DO LIKE YOUR SHOT! . I have a question regarding the lens you used for this shot. I am in the process in getting a Olympus 100 f2 and I would like your personal opinion. I'm getting it from Japan and the cost has been rising lately, they are asking just over $900 US dollars Beautiful condition. There is no haze. There is no fungus. There is no scratches. There is no separation. A very minor coating alteration is seen on rear element , which would have no affect on shootings. I called a lens coating expert here and he didn't think it would effect taking picture. WHAT IS YOUR TAKE? Thanks Hank
Henry Taylor Posted June 29, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted June 29, 2021 I have another question regarding another lens. I'm looking at a nice Pentax 100 f 4 micro although I already have the Leica R 60 mm but I think the 100 mm would be nice. I found one in really nice shape for $120. I understand the Pentax micro is tops rated and would like anyone who has experience in using this lens opinion. Thanks Hank

Bikie John Posted July 4, 2021 Share #6 Posted July 4, 2021 So does the 250mm f/2. Sadly you are not likely to find one lying around in the local discount store John

The 2nd element was covered with mold and would have been too expensive to have clean and removed. Oh well, yesterday I bought the Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG DN to replace it. and so far very satisfied

Beautiful shot nice delicate colors and the Bokeh is aesthetic pleasing. . I was looking forward in keeping the OM 100mm f2 but the 2nd element had mold and I return it to the seller . Hank, I am so sorry that I only see your note now because I was out of action for some time. I bought my copy from Japan at the beginning of 2020. It is quite a special lens but already at that time I thought that $500 was a bit on the high side, all things considered. Given the current price level I might put it back on the market 🙂 Best, Per. Since I was in the market for another 100 I got two, actually one is the new Sigma 85 f1.4 DG DN and a Pentax 100 f4 Micro both very very sharp with good micro contrast.
