I had used calipers to open but unsuccessful. It was very tight or may be at the wrong side. Would you please advise it should be turned clockwise or anti-clockwise? Oh, I see. That one was tough on my version as well, I used a chinese spanner to get a better grip. The thread is regular so go anti-clockwise to unscrew it Welcome, dear visitor! Infantasy Posted October 3, 2021 Share #23  Posted October 3, 2021 The retaining ring is very tough to open. I tried several times and eventually given up this make the focusing not very smooth as the lubricant may be dried already. On 9/30/2021 at 8:50 PM, Infantasy said: labyrinth, I was able to dissemble the pre-FLE except the retaining ring for the circled parts. Refer to this disassembly pics of this technician. There is not much to grease when speaking about aperture ring just a small trace for the metal ball to slide around. I think not worth the effort.  regards labyrinth, I was able to dissemble the pre-FLE except the retaining ring for the circled parts.
