Daniel Behrens Posted June 13, 2021 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey all! Not sure if it's coincidence but after updating my SL2-S yesterday I noticed that when I manual focus to infinity on any of my lenses (m mount and native L) they go slightly past infinity to out of focus. I've tried a range of lenses and adapters and they all do this. Is it possible that this has something to do with the firmware update or maybe that something just got knocked out of alignment? Advertisement Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Hi Daniel Behrens, Take a look here SL2-S infinity focus issue. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Photoworks Posted June 13, 2021 Share #2 Posted June 13, 2021 apparently it is by design. all M lenses go past infinity. they say it is to compensate for hot and extreme cold situation where the material contract and expand. I wish the infinity from M would reflect on SL with M to L adapter.
Daniel Behrens Posted June 13, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted June 13, 2021 So you have experienced this as well? It also occurs with L mount lenses and my lineup of R lenses that have been adapted to EF.
