I'd like to leave the lens hood extended at all times. Does anyone know of a slip-over lens cap that would cover the hood? Also, can anyone explain the threads on the inside of the lens hood? Check on ebay, there's someone who sells all manner of lens accessories at prices that should embarrass Leica (and I speak as someone who has just paid nearly $200 for a replacement WATE hood). I don't have the 50/2 but if it's like the 50/1.4, those "threads" are just rings to reduce the chance of unwanted reflections. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
