robertdecastro Posted May 25, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello I purchased my Q2 just five weeks ago and have only used it a few times at the weekends. I know that when I hold the camera I have a tendency to touch or possibly even rest my finger on the area to the front of the shutter speed dial. This is actually my second Q2 and I had a Q prior to that and I would often observe that I had a residue from my finger in that area on both cameras after shooting. I used to just breathe on the camera and wipe gently with a lens cloth and it would be gone. However, on my new Q2 it seems to have permanently changed the colour/texture of the paint in this spot. I can't seem to wipe it away and I even tried using a 99% alcohol wipe in case it was a grease mark but this also made no difference. I suppose, if it doesn't get any worse, it's not a big deal but I'm disappointed that this has happened so soon and despite my taking such great care with the camera. Is this something that would be worth taking up with the retailer and/or Leica? I don't feel it can fall within reasonable wear and tear as I've used the camera only four or five times and I've not scraped it on anything or applied any pressure to this area. Just the very lightest touch of my finger tip whilst shooting. Thanks for any advice. Robert Welcome, dear visitor!
