Leica 35mm Summicron-M ASPH (version 2) - is it different from version 1?

I'm sorry if this has been asked a zillion times before, but I got lost in my searches.

From time to time, I miss a 35mm lens, but I don't need the speed of the Summilux. I have owned several 35mm Summicron lenses (ASPH and non-ASPH). I also owned a stellar copy of the 35mm Summarit-M, but that is water under the bridge.

I have been offered a version 2 of the Summicron ASPH for around 1800 Euros, but I can't seem to find any info on the actual difference in performance from the first version. Have any of you any experience with the latest version?

I have the version 1. I find the above example strange - there's some kind of flare/spill of the backlight colors on the model for the new versiona, also obvious less contrast. I'm sticking to 24mp and didn't fancy an upgrade.

If M10R is your current or future planned camera, you may find the new version an upgrade. 1800 euros is a steal, though...
