Casey Jefferson Posted May 7, 2021 Share #1  Posted May 7, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all! It's my most used lens and love everything about it, but recently discovered the very front section that holds the filter seem to have the slightest play that can only perceived by touch, but not visually. I'll probably get mixed responses and I most probably not needed to worry about it a single bit, but...I asked this cause my lens was handled by someone and my heart sinked when I saw the guy unscrew the filter and screw it back very tightly (so much so the filter showing naked brass about 1x1mm and the end of the thread). Not going to give the guy a hard time as he probably not intentional. The very slight play may or may not be there in the first place as I never notice it as I rarely unscrew the filter. But now that I notice it, what are the chance for it to become loose? Or a very normal wear and tear that can be fixed easily? Most importantly, anything potentially starts to get damaged inside? 😕 I read a couple old threads and it was obviously the lens weren't assemble correctly, but not sure about my case. Thoughts? Advertisement Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Hi Casey Jefferson, Take a look here 35/2 ASPH V1 front section...?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Casey Jefferson Posted May 7, 2021 Author Share #2  Posted May 7, 2021 Upon examining the front section, it seems like it's not aligned to dead center anyway, seems like inevitably I'll send it for competent person to have it aligned back to center someday in the future...
