I don't mind at all. It is not very helpful though. How about a constructive comment? I know that most of my photos are dull, but what about the best ones? I like being a gear head, that is true. I am a gear head when I sit in front of the computer. But my thought patterns are completely different when I am out shooting, and if you have ever looked at my blog, you would know that I am out often. Perhaps you don't like my photography; that's fine, I can't please everyone, and I only try to please myself. I know that most of my photography is not that great, but I really like some of my shots. Here I am in good company. Ansel Adams himself said that he would estimate that he gets 12 good shots a year. That doesn't make me Ansel, but it makes me feel that it is okay to have so-so shots most of the time, as long as there are some nice ones in between. Â Anyway, you didn't move off your negative track into a constructive one. Pass me a constructive piece of criticism, if you are worth your salt. Remember I stated that I will say that your images are boring if you were all about making personal attacks on this thread I have yet to confirm my intent.......... It was more to provoke you than to judge you though I am playing as much as you are; just in a different way. I look at your site from time to time, and I like some of what you do. It is too post-manipulated for my personal taste, so I won't emulate it or try it, but I do like it. Some of your portraits are nice. I find that your photos are often too dark, too obscure. As if this is a statement about darkness or your "style" more than about the subject. My photography is more about the subject and less about me than yours. Not completely, but more so than yours. Â Sure, I care what people think. Not in a catastrophal way, nor in an obsessive way, but I am aware that the world is around me, and that there are people there, and I do like it better when they appreciate me than when they don't. I think only a sociopath would not feel the same way. I don't let people's opinions sway mine though, although if very many people disagree with me, I will re-evaluate my stance, to make sure I didn't go wrong somewhere. Â But this is all way off track. Let me back-track. What do you expect or wait for when you start a thread named "The world is sorta empty" with the first post containing only "....................................y" and then a big fat link to your website. Is this a way for you to further your supposed philosophy, or to drive traffic to your site, or what? Â And I suppose you won't do more than call my photos "boring"? Nothing more focused than that?
