How to reveal camera settings on a tablet before shooting?

I have successfully installed Fotos on my Galaxy tablet and have used it as a remote control for my Leica CL camera. I am pleased with the results until I saw the shutter speed setting when reviewing my pictures on my tablet. According to the Leica instruction video, it seems that it is possible to set basic controls on the camera, such as exposure, aperture, ISO, before taking pictures. I am not able to do that until after I have taken a picture, which is too late. How can I access the camera controls during initial set-up? (Tapping and swiping does not access the controls I seek, nor can I find a Settings icon before shooting)
