sean_reid Posted August 29, 2007 Share #43 Posted August 29, 2007 I beleive the CV comes out of the same factory as the Zeiss lenses, with limited quality control for CV. That may explain why the CV lenses are generally so good. Quality control for the CV lenses is not as limited as some people suggest - it's a myth in large part. Cosina was producing their Voigtlander lens line long before they started producing the ZM lenses. It's true that one can get a bad sample of a CV lens but one can also get a bad sample of some $3000+ lenses <G>.
sean_reid Posted August 29, 2007 Share #44 Posted August 29, 2007 Precisely why I mentioned it in the first place... But for the roughly $3700 (US) price difference, I figure when I need that level of accurcy, I can afford to take the time to review said critical area using the zoom feature on the M8 LCD and adjust focus if necessary. Cheers, I agree. Cheers, Sean
