After the poor results of Firecrest filters I did a comparison test with another photographer, who got the same results. We did side-by-side testing with Haida. Therefore, I switched to Haida and I have no reason put more effort into other Firecrest filters.

No worries, as long as you are happy that's all that counts :) Personally, I never stop looking at any brand on principle; technology progresses, and with filters interestingly that's the way it worked out so far: back in the day, resin Lee & Singh-Ray filters were all the rage, now very few people would touch resin filters with a pole. When 100mm Grad ND and Reverse Grad ND glass filters came up, Firecrest were the best; then Haida and others caught up, improving on them; now Firecrest Ultra improved on the others; and probably that's not the last "overtaking" we'll see. Since filters are consumables, I am always for putting the best filters I can in front of my lenses, therefore I am always on the lookout for the newest and best. YMMV.

Best regards,

Vieri
