maddav Posted August 25, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted August 25, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am well aware that this is the German forum but since Leica sent me a letter in German, and I am not sure to understand the meaning of "instandsetzen" I think this is the right place to ask. I brought the camera to Solms because of a hot pixel and the technician I met told me they would replace the sensor. Now I have just had a look at leo.dict.org and, strangely, the translation for "instandsetzen" is refurbish. Is it the term that they use for "replacement"? Or do you think they can do something else than merely changing it? Â Vielen Dank!

Is it the term that they use for "replacement"? “instandsetzen” would be “to repair” – which in the case of a faulty sensor would amount to replacing it.
