Sometimes I feel a little alone in this thread. It would be nice if more people would join and participate with pictures.

Give me a week!

Thanks to all your inspirational photos, I gave into GAS and earlier this month picked up a second hand v3 Summilux. For black and white film, I like that the out of focus rendering shows more outlining compared to modern lenses.

Beautiful shot ! I’ll be back soon I must have some to post.  I’ve been shooting mostly with my 50 pre-asph’s soulmate (the wider one !)

Also as we’ve discussed before I’m always surprised there aren’t more passionate owners of this lens amongst us, similar to the love the 35:1.4v2 thread gets.

Although I suppose the “true pre-asph” (the 0.7 focussing v3) wasn’t around all that long before the ASP came along  ?

The version 3 was in production from 1992 to 2005, so there should be quite a few of them out there, and the earlier versions are also welcome. I know a lot of people here on the forum have this lens, because I see them posting elsewhere, but for some reason this thread is not that attractive.
