BernardC Posted March 20, 2021 Share #41 Â Posted March 20, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I wonder if it's a de-Bayering artifact similar to Moire? The size of the smallest branches is probably very close to the maximum resolution of the sensor. One way to tell is to try different software to process the RAW files. Some open-source RAW developers let you use different de-Bayering algorithms without switching software. I do this sometimes when copying black and white negatives, when the frequency of the grain is similar to the camera's pixel pitch.

OHW Posted March 20, 2021 Author Share #42 Â Posted March 20, 2021 Yes, but there we are beyond my knowledge. The problem arises on both SL2 and SL-S, is the pixel size not different on the two cameras?
LD_50 Posted March 20, 2021 Share #43  Posted March 20, 2021 (edited) I think if you post an unadjusted export from LR and if possible share a RAW file we could diagnose the effect you’re seeing. It doesn’t look like CA but something is clearly off. Edited March 20, 2021 by LD_50
