I'd love to see any Q2M high ISO samples (12.5k+), but in particular I'd like to see how it performs outside in the day at ISO 12.5k/25k/50k

This might mean shooting at F8, 1/2000th or more...

Interested in the ISO noise in good light as well as poor.

Dan,

Sean Reid has multiple reviews which show high ISO and noise performance of the Q2M. My takeaway is these two aspects are among the biggest advantages of a Q2M. Pretty darn stunning and very close, but slightly behind the M10M.

Now I am wavering again!

I'm very interesting in the M10M and was ready to settle on the Q2M.. but you just told me the grass could be a little greener !

Maybe it's time for me to stop being so stingy (I mean i have no income at the moment) and actually get a sub to Reid.

Definitely a first world problem. Sorry for adding to your struggle. IMHO it comes down to a choice of the simplicity and elegance of the Q2M body, AF, fixed lens versus the more versatile and MF M10M which is also far more expensive especially if you have to purchase lenses. The AF on the Q2M is a dominant factor for me and my 70 year old eyes. The technical difference is pretty small and both cameras perform much superior to the regular Q2 as far as high ISO and noise performance. I too am camera poor these days so I’m not buying anything. The Q2M is the most attractive to me if I was in the market.

Good luck. Multiple glasses of good Scotch will help the decision bubble to the surface. 😁

From the RedDot Forum YouTube session last Saturday - David Farkas mentioned that the Q2M is good to about ISO25K, M10M to ISO32K.

The Q2M I had was a loaner, and the experience has me severely tempted to pick up one when travel opens up later in the year.

Something to consider between the M10M and Q2M is with the Q2M, the corners for landscape are impossible to bring to complete sharpness due to the massive software distortion correction required by the Q/Q2/Q2M lens. I think this is particularly noticeable on the Q2M even compared to the Q2 simply because the center of the frame on the monochrome sensor is so insanely sharp – GFX 100 level sharp – that it really make the corners feel weak by comparison.

Of course pixel-peeping corner sharpness sticklers are not the Q2M's target market, but it's something to keep in mind. If I were buying a monochrome sensor and landscape prints at large sizes was important to me, I would think an M10M with any current Leica 28mm (outside of that small retro f/5.6 one) would be better.

For me, the biggest drawback for M is the poor minimum focus distance and the biggest strength (that results in more unique photos) of the Q2M is the macro function.

I am settling back on the Q2M, I already love the Q series - and I think it will be a good fit for my needs - and now I'm very excited to be out with this camera I don't have during a time when I can't go out :D

Just watching this, I'm sold :D I want this experience..

Hard to see the big difference on my screen.  What is your own assessment?  and have you tried corner sharpness as one talked about.  Wil it be a problem for landscape photography?  tak 👍🏻
