Hi everybody,

I'm new to Leica's world and have got a Leica M-E Typ 240 + Summicron f/2 (IV) two days ago ans started to shoot immediately. Greta camera and new sensation about photography.

On shooting today, I just realised some little spots on the right top side of the image supposed to be dust on the sensor,

I checked it by the Menu and trotting and effectively some small spots are detected.

I wonder if someone in the forum can help me to reduce or remove those dust spot without cleaning the sensor ?

Many thanks for any replies

Paul

You dont need to be hesitant of doing a sensor clean. Its part of regular maintenance. Its just a bit fiddly and may take multiple passes depending on amount of dust inside...which sucks i know lol.

To reduce dust, which tbh is almost unavoidable to not get even for the most ocd of people is periodic cleaning of lens and body caps and mounts, using the rocket blower while the camera mount is turned down, and reduce lens changes while out on the field. Or just keep to one lens when out. Have a clean storage/ bags for your camera & lens.  Basically treat the lens mount as a open wound and clean contacts periodically. Even then with those precautions dust is inevitable

All the best.
