DonQuijote Posted August 23, 2007 Share #1  Posted August 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi,  In case you would like to find out about other peoples' experiences with this lens including sample photos try:  Leica 25mm f/1.4 Sample Images (bandwidth warning): Olympus SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review  The lens has very good feedback. Incidentally my lens just arrived two days ago from Japan - found it at eBay Store - MATSUIYASTORE: Zeiss, Pentax, Nikon. It has been paired up with a Hoya DMC UV filter (I know myself - oops protection). This is my first prime lens so I will have to learn how to take pictures without any zoom capability - I suppose this will provide a good cardiovascular excercise. It will be a different experience to be part of the scene rather than simply looking in with a zoom lens.
Advertisement Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Hi DonQuijote, Take a look here LEICA D SUMMILUX 25mm/F1.4 ASPH. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MJLogan Posted August 23, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted August 23, 2007 I shot (mostly travel stuff) for a decade with nothing but a 50mm f/1.4 prime on my Oly OM-1, so fitting this lens to my D3 felt a bit like going home. The kit lens only comes out of the bag occasionally. I'm regaining my old specialized eye for that specific focal, its field of view, and the DOF possibilities of shooting at f/1.4. It's not quite the same as the 50 on the OM-1 (especially DOF) but it feels right.
