jed Posted January 12, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted January 12, 2021 The book has a 2006 copyright. So it's better to ask Jim Lager a new release I'm afraid.

At this point, I don’t think Jim is planning any reprints. I’ll ask him if you can share it.
SpotmaticSP Posted August 9 Share #6 Posted August 9 Speaking about copyrights, I want to obtain James Lager's book "Wehrmacht Leica". Could a kind member of this forum please let me know if this book is supposed to be a real book, professionally printed and bound, or a (color) laserprinted one, spinal bound, like in the image below? Thanks! Welcome, dear visitor! SpotmaticSP Posted August 10 Share #7 Posted August 10 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Never mind, I was informed that I bought the real publication and not just a copy. 🙂 As usual the "Heer" Leicas are not well documented but I'm 99% convinced I have a defaced "Heer" example. It must be, as Leitz informed me that my IIIc is in the same batch as a Heer camera that was sold by a reputed Leitz auction firm. So it was in the same batch, and delivered to Berlin. The remnants of the first letter "H" in "Heer" can also still be seen (in close-up, not in this photo). And of course the Summitar on the body has nothing to do with the camera, I only put it on because I do not have a ~1941 version. Welcome, dear visitor! SpotmaticSP Posted August 21 Share #9 Posted August 21 Nice! Now the question is... is it provenanced and do you want my IIIc, or do I want your Summitar... 😉
Giuliobigazzi Posted August 21 Share #10 Posted August 21 (edited) Serial 559858 delivered 24.5.41 Heer Shipment 24582. Lens 559859 is in the James lager lenses book! There are faint traces of the engraving in the brass. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
