jamiealquiza Posted January 9, 2021 Share #1 Â Posted January 9, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've found and updated my SL lens with the latest 2.0 firmware, but I'm having an impossible time figuring out what has actually changed. Does Leica publish the release notes somewhere for this?
Advertisement Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Hi jamiealquiza, Take a look here SL lens firmware release notes?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted January 9, 2021 Share #2  Posted January 9, 2021 The change is to the manual focus setting option.  By selecting the degree of focus throw, the focus action becomes linear (as opposed to current accelerated action).  Simple. jamiealquiza Posted January 9, 2021 Author Share #3  Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) I did see and started using that feature, but the curiosity is still in regards to being able to know what you're installing and why. For instance, did somebody tell you this or did you read it from Leica? I'm curious how to go about the latter. Edited January 9, 2021 by jamiealquiza
Jeff S Posted January 10, 2021 Share #4  Posted January 10, 2021 (edited) Discussed here (and other forum threads)... Also covered by Red Dot Forum (Leica Miami) in recent YouTube video episode. And the FW update is posted on the Leica site, but it’s unfortunately confusing, as it’s listed with the SL2-S even though the update works with all SL system bodies and almost all SL native lenses.
