I have a new Q2M, and as a Q2 owner, I thought that customizing the functions would be a snap.  Not so.

My problem is twofold.  Firstly, I want the right wheel to be dedicated to exposure compensation, and although I have selected that in the Customize menu, when I am in picture-taking mode, the right wheel instead changes the size of the focusing rectangle in Field AF.  Secondly, I want the display to show the histogram when I am preparing to take a shot, but as soon as I adjust the right wheel for exposure compensation, the histogram and all other information disappear from the viewfinder, and all that I see is the focusing rectangle and red triangles in two of the corners.

Notably, I am a left eye shooter, and the phenomena only occur when I am using the EVF and my nose touches the rear LCD screen. This, despite the fact that I have both Touch AF options turned off in the menus.  Also, it happens only with Field AF and not Spot or Multi-Field AF

I had been using the camera happily for nearly two weeks when this behavior started today.  Resetting the camera did not help.  BTW, the Q2M owner's manual does not provide any relevant information. I can find no documentation on changing the focusing rectangle size.  I'm hoping that some of the people on this forum will have a solution.  If not, I may have to return the camera to the dealer.

Upon researching the topic in this forum, it turns out that the behavior that I described is a feature/bug in firmware v3.0.  It has been discussed in another thread.

Leica is aware of the issue, but no fix has been released.  Until such time, I will use the Spot focus, which is really not to my liking.

This is a known problem for left eye shooters and it seems that Leica is working on that, just be patient

What behaviour of the ones listed, the left eye shooter or the right wheel function?

However and in both cases, when a behaviour changes then it's usually the user who changed parameter/s.
I would exclude that your Q2M change autonomously software after two weeks of use.

I can assure you that my shooting technique has not changed. Perhaps it just took me awhile to realize that something was amiss.

Then most probably you just not realized it in the beginning while concentrated to use the new camera.
Nothing strange with that, i am the same when i buy a new camera.
