I recently uploaded the 3.1 firmware update for the Q and strangely the order of the photos has been messed up. At first I couldn't find the new photos I took today and then I plugged the SD card directly into my computer and somehow the order of the photos has been messed up. In the DCIM folder there are two sub folders (100Leica and 101Leica). The older photos were recorded in the 100Leica folder and then I assume once that was full the rest of the photos were being recorded in the 101Leica folder. Once the firmware update was done the camera sort of went back on itself and started ot record the new photos in the 100Leica folder again. So when I scroll through the photos I have to go back about 150 photos before i can see today's photos. Hope that makes sense. Is this a know issue? And is there anythign i can do to rectify the problem?

I’m not sure I fully understand the issue. Certainly my experience of FW upgrades is that the counter is reset which is a pain in the proverbial. However I am not sure I understand the mess up on the card. Surely before installing a FW upgrade one downloads any images on the card, reformats the card, puts the FW onto the card and installs it. That way there are no old images on the card and no new ones until you start shooting. I take the view that the SD card is a short term resting place for my images and the sooner they are transferred and also backed up the better. Even on a multi day shoot they are backed up in the evening and the card reformatted in camera.

Ah right, I think I understand what the issue is now that you said all that. I downloaded the software on the SD card without emptying the old photos off it. Once the counter has been reset to 1000 then the new pictures were going in the old folder thus messing up the order. I will download them on my back up hard drive and that should solve the problem. Thank you 👍👍
