hello. just got my first Leica, a used Q, and loving it!

when shooting, I like to press my eye against the eyecup on the EVF. But because the way it is built on the Q, when I do this, it leaves a smudge on the EVF. Does anyone know if there is some sort of eyecup extender? thank you.

Congratulations on the new (to you) camera

I don't think so, and truly the Qs were not designed to have such - per concept and ergonomics.

It seems that is more of handling technique issue - don't know what type of camera  you have been using, but you just need to adapt.

One solution could be to make your own - likely to require a 3D printer and  the use of silicone molding making rubber/compound - something like this:

imo, I don't think the effort and expense is worth the trouble

thank you @nwphil. appreciate your reply. 

my previous cameras were the 5D mark 2, and the Fuji X-T2, 3 and XH-1. I like to put my eye against the EVF and "isolate" from my surroundings when I shoot. I also feel more balanced/stable when there is one more point of contact with the camera.

yeah, for the looks of it, the Q2M has a very similar evf shape, and also shallow. I usually wear a baseball cap outside, so it becomes helpful at times, as can be slightly adjusted to cover the left or right side a bit. 

Not a perfect solution , I know....
