Toffee Posted December 29, 2020 Share #1 Posted December 29, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have an enquiry concerning the dandelion chip that would come on a leitax mount for my Leica r lens. I would like to adapt my Leica r glass with EF mount in order to use them on a canon c500 mark ii for video. According to Leitax website, the last version of the Dandelion chip for Canon possess : - Focus confirm point adjustment I am not familiar with the way someone can program a lens for photo Canon camera but it seems to work fine. Now it is probably another story to use them on a cinecamera. First I wonder if after programming the lens on a photo Canon camera we are able to use that same lens on other canon cameras, even if it they are different models than the photo Canon camera it has been programmed on? The latest cinecamera from Canon have the possibility when using a manual lens of having a focus guide in the viewfinder in order to have perfect focus while filming in mouvement.  I can give you a link to the canon literature concerning that focus adjusting guide. Dual Pixel Focus Guide Dual Pixel CMOS AF phase-difference technology provides an innovative graphical guide that represents front/back focus deviation; the rectangle turns green when the subject is in focus, improving usability and accuracy when manual focus pulling, especially for critical focusing in 4K. https://www.canon-europe.com/video-cameras/eos-c500-mark-ii/ If anyone has any idea how this technology can be implemented on my Leica R lens with leitax EF mount with a chip to communicate with the camera I would be very grateful ! Best regards
