But the eyepiece is “kaputt”. There is a small chunk missing. Is this a replacement part? If yes is it easy to do yourself? Any idea how much this would cost? Welcome, dear visitor! Explore More Posted January 30, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted January 30, 2021 Just a quick update. The eyepiece is called ‘brillenschutz’ in German. It can still be ordered from Leica. To replace it the top of the camera needs to come of. My eyepiece was ordered and replaced by Wim van Manen in the Netherlands for 50 euro including labour AND adjustment of my M7’s rangefinder.
