Just to add to the chorus...there are certainly people still shooting weddings with M cameras. Granted, it is not as many, but they are there. David Oliver is a fantastic Australian photographer who has won a number of national awards for his wedding photography. He uses an MP with the 35/1.4 ASPH, 50 noctilux and 75/1.4. At least he did not long ago when I met him. David Oliver Photography - Personal

David Oliver is one of my heroes. A guy that doesn't follow the crowd and does his own thing. If you ever get the chance to see him speak, you will not be disappointed.

Personally, I've just gone totally over to M8's for all my wedding work....

I met him when he came to speak with the Leica rep in California. His lecture was great, his demonstrations were inspiring and his work was superb. He really helped me out a lot, as he showed me that you did not have to pigeonhole yourself into one field of photography to be successful. (i.e. not just weddings, just documentary, just commercial etc). He does everything and does it well because he loves it. It is great to see.

Could we see some custom Capture One profiles for B/W soon ? or are you sticking to PShop actions ?

Curious as you did report highlight concerns for the M8 and I wonder if you found a workaround. The ETTR method may not be the digital panacea with the M8 given the "re-mapping" ( I have to say 2 x M8 for 1x EOS 1DIII ,given the glass you sensibly kept, sounds like good sense. )
