Would a Digicopy tube made for the Digilux 4.3 fit a Digilux 1 ? ?

I would think not.

I've recently obtained a Digicopy - it's a nice piece of precision engineering and obviously designed specifically for the unique form factor of the Digilux Zoom or the 4.3 (or the Fujifilm 4700). In addition it's also designed to accomodate a small diameter lens which rules out pretty much every digital I have (D-Lux 3, LC1 etc) - so I guess I need to try to find a Digilux 4.3 somewhere.

They seem to be difficult to find and maybe it'd be easier to find a Fuji. Looking at that body format I see there are later Fuji models like the 4800, 6800Z and F601 which would presumably offer higher performance, but there may be subtle differences which could mean they don't mate with a Digicopy.

Whether all of this will eventually help digitize some of my slide archive with reasonable results is an open question. But it's a fun project and one that doesn't cost too much since the hardware is now several years old. I'm hoping it produces something halfway reasonable, since I gave up on efforts with a Nikon Coolscan some time ago, it took forever to scan individual slides.
