The firmware fixes some bugs. 

S1 and S1/R:

1. There were cases the position touched by Touch AF was out of focus. This bug has been fixed.
2. There were cases the camera did not focus or screen flicker with AF mode when LVF Frame Rate was set to [120fps]. This bug has been fixed.

S5: 

1. There were cases the position touched by Touch AF was out of focus. This bug has been fixed.

S1/H: 

1. There were cases the position touched by Touch AF was out of focus. This bug has been fixed.

Thanks, Ingo! I was puzzled and already frustrated by the firmware update, because I experienced the above mentioned bugs! I was just about to start a thread to advise other users to not update from v1.5 to v1.6 when I crossed your new thread.

As a matter of fact, I have gotten the impression that eye AF functions actually worse than before. Often the rectangle jumps to the whole head instead of catching the eye. Let's see how the new update performs.

Update v1.7 is ok. Those who have updated to v1.6 should go ahead and update to v1.7 (the AF-bugs in v1.6 are quite severe in my opinion). I cannot judge yet if v1.7 is so mauch better than v1.5 in this short period of time, but Eye-AF works now great in v1.7.
