Digilux 2 battery question

Apologies for posting this twice, my first attempt was a follow-on from an earlier question from someone about a battery for a Digilux 3. I think they are the same battery, but I thought I should really have posted under a specific Digilux 2 heading.

I've been looking for a spare battery for my Digilux 2, particularly as they seem increasingly hard to find. I did find what I hope will be the correct one from a supplier in France.

The terminals (viewed from the contact end, with the label upper as in the photo), are '-', 'D', 'T', '+'. '

My two Leica batteries are 1400mAh, a non-Leica battery is 1500mAh and this new one is 1700mAh. All are 7.2v.

I'm hoping my new battery will be safe to use - given the non-availability of parts (leaving aside the cost of any repair even if one were possible) I certainly don't want to risk damage to the electronics.

Chinese suppliers regularly seem to "over rate" their batteries - claiming a higher charge/hour than they realistically will supply.  Provided the voltage is correct, it should not be a problem for your camera (I have a "clone" Chinese battery as a spare for my Digilux 2 and rotate it with a genuine Leica battery).  If the capacity of the battery is genuinely larger than your original you should get more photos before it requires recharging, but also note it will take longer to reach full charge.
