First, I apologize for my bad english speaking, but I'm french (nobody's perfect).

I' ve just bought a M8 with a Summicron 35 mm Asph; I never used a rangefinder before and I take a great pleasure with this camera, but still got some problems.

You can see below 2 crops (one with ACR 4.1 on the right of the original DNG and Capture one below). But no one is correct. I've tried too the Demoirize plugin for PS, but noway to find a solution.

Thanks for your help.

François

I observe the same artifacts on some of my files with Aperture. If I open them with Lightroom, they're almost all gone, and the ones that are still there are much less visible. I have a slow connection for now; when I have a faster one in some days I will post an example.

I have two M8 bodies (bought six months apart) and both occasionally exhibit this issue in exactly the same circumstances - i.e. as a moire artifact within an area of distant high frequency detail (e.g. shutters, metal grill, etc.). I raised the issue with M8 Support in Solms and they rather unhelpfully suggested that I should use the pattern noise suppression option in C1. Although I find it a rare occurrence, it is annoying when it happens because it means extra work to make an image suitable for stock submission (I don't think it matters for print output).
