Shooting mono with Q

Hi

Shooting in monochrome with Q sometimes I can see mono through the viewfinder but then sometimes only in colour.

Any way I can fix this?

On mine I'll set a user profile for B&W that saves and displays a monochrome jpg but also saves the raw image just incase I need it.  The few times that it shows color in the EVF, I soon realize that I've accidentally hit the center button on the menu navigation and toggled the mode to video by mistake.  It will also show a movie camera icon in the top bar of the display.

Short of cutting off my right thumb, I've found no real fix.🤭

If you are set up to see monochrome in the viewfinder and rear screen but then switch to video preview mode by accidentally hitting the set button the screen and EVF change back to color.  video preview mode also changes the preview to a 16:9 aspect ratio which is one way to know you've accidentally picked that mode.
